Three of a Kind
Selected for the Danish Biennale for Craft and Design, 2019.
Theme of the exhibition: Community
Design can support communities by providing a setting for play and social experiences that involves and includes people. Experiences spark our curiosity and imagination by activating us physically through play and movement.
Three of a Kind aims to make the visitors play and engage with each other in transforming the form of the piece. In this way it seeks to generate a shared experience and a community for people who otherwise might not have met.
The installation consists of three individual figures intended to have a commonalities in form and colors. Each figure has been given its own characteristic visual expression to underscore that diversity is an essential factor in preserving a dynamic, living community.
